Time. The most supreme entity in the world. It is capable of ruling the world, yet it portrays itself as a timid, innocent figure which we cannot see. Beware ! This is a trap into which many a man has fallen into. Time stays in disguise and gives us a false belief that we are its masters. It keeps itself down-to-earth until we don’t begin perceiving ourselves capable of ruling the sky. And when this happens, time strikes. It falls upon us like a bolt of lightning and throw us down on the ground, two notches below of what we had started from.
A figment of this entity is present everywhere. It is omnipresent. What is mortal ? What is eternity ? Is it when something has limited time or when it is not subject to time ? What do we find at the core of these terms ?
Many people believe in destiny. Many believe in working their way out to reach their destination. There exists a passage of time which needs to be passed in either situation. This verifies that everything takes time. The qualities we need to possess while dealing with it are patience, perseverance, focus and an unexpected one ‘politeness’. We must not lose our temper while time tests us. Nothing is going to bear fruit if we challenge time or perceive it as our adversary. There is only a single option and a viable and wise one, so to say: befriend it. Those who mould themselves to keep pace with time can take charge of it, while those who don’t are left behind, for this dominating entity only allows the strong-willed to control it.
There also exists an amusing irony about time that it passes the slowest when we want it be fast and the fastest when we wish it was slow (share in the comments section examples of such situations you have encountered).
We have now understood that time possesses the power of leading us to victory and at the same time defeating us. So, what is the nature of our relationship with time ? It is give-and-take. We give it respect and regard, it gives us its favour; we give it disregard and disrespect, it would give us defeat.
The more important it is for us to move forward in life, the more imperative it becomes to act according to time. As it is a common saying, ‘time and tide wait for none’, time wouldn’t wait for us, we have to keep up with it. Thus, match your pace with time to ace the difficulties of the race so-called life, because no matter what, the world will go on, time will make it go on.
