Preparing for the World of Knowledge

My name is Mr. A. I love studying, especially reading. It helps me to procure knowledge about different disciplines. I am well acquainted with numerous facts & figures, statistics, current affairs etc. In fact, I am confident enough to say that you name any topic and I would know about it. This knowledge I have gathered is in itself a world bubbling inside me. This journey of learning has been so deep, or I should say the learning in this journey has been so deep, that I now find myself completely immersed in it, at such great depths that I can now hardly figure whether the sun is shining in the sky or the moon. You would have noticed the word ‘bubbling’  in the paragraph above.  I didn’t use it in the flow of sharing my experience with you, I literally meant it. This sea of information which I carry along with me everywhere, boils to give out bubbles, sometimes of contentment, sometimes of distress, sometimes of rage, and at times of disillusion. In short, gathering knowledge is a process of intense emotions. Since I have addressed it as ‘world of knowledge’ , naturally it would have creatures and an […]

When Giving Up is Not an Option

No one has seen the future, no one knows what will happen in it; yet we prepare for it. Why do we do that? So that we achieve what we want from the future. What do we expect from it? Naturally, that our today’s toil bears fruit. And what if it doesn’t? We may get disappointed, depressed, sorrowful but we won’t give up, right? Or will we? We all have heard motivating theories of not giving up in the toughest of times. We may also try to staunchly follow them. But continuous control by the reigns of hardships may falter one’s resilience and push him/her on the path of distress.  So, what should we do in such a situation? Should we give up? No, we shouldn’t. Or let me correct it, we can’t. Because giving up is not an option available to us. And why should it be? We have been given an ability to think, a strong will-power, a chance to prove ourselves. This shows that the universe didn’t give up on us by giving us these resources, then why should we?

Pace to Ace the Race

Time. The most supreme entity in the world. It is capable of ruling the world, yet it portrays itself as a timid, innocent figure which we cannot see. Beware ! This is a trap into which many a man has fallen into. Time stays in disguise and gives us a false belief that we are its masters. It keeps itself down-to-earth until we don’t begin perceiving ourselves capable of ruling the sky. And when this happens, time strikes. It falls upon us like a bolt of lightning and throw us down on the ground, two notches below of what we had started from. A figment of this entity is present everywhere. It is omnipresent. What is mortal ? What is eternity ? Is it when something has limited time or when it is not subject to time ?  What do we find at the core of these terms ? Many people believe in destiny. Many believe in working their way out to reach their destination. There exists a passage of time which needs to be passed in either situation. This verifies that everything takes time. The qualities we need to possess while dealing with it are patience, perseverance, focus and […]

Creating your Masterpiece

Masterpieces need not always be the magnificent creations by the phenomenal masters, yet they always remain the fruit of the exceptional passion and toil, the several sleepless nights and the midnight oil that was burnt to bring it to life. A piece of work, the one which is the result of a vision supplemented with skills which are in conjunction with intense devotion, is not tagged a masterpiece when it is highly lauded and publicly acclaimed, rather it just needs to be at the optimum level in the eyes of its creator. It must bring the brilliant sparkle in the eyes and the perfect smile on the face, enough to verify that the person is proud of being the creator of the extraordinary creation. This draws me to an inference that everyone can create a masterpiece, you can create a masterpiece. Creating it Start with planning; this is a very important stage, if I rephrase it, it is a fantasy stage; you close your eyes and your masterpiece is right there in front of you. You automatically drift nearer to its completion right in your head and begin enjoying the lovely feeling when it gets completed. As you swim back […]

Finding Focus

Imagine after a prolonged struggle to strengthen your determination to move out of your comfort zone and finally undertake the tedious task of treading alone in quietude on a predefined yet undefined path, you come across a junction, a division of that path into two; thus offering two choices to you.It was expected; you were aware that you had to be decisive to choose the right, rational path yet you remain helpless in practising your now very  pivotal decision-making and critical-thinking until the choices are presented to you. On the left, darkness resides; sheer, shivery darkness. Huge, beast-like trees with corky trunks pave the right and left sides of the abnormally straight path with its windy interiors. The canopy thickens as your eyes try to wander into the depths of the forests but after some crucial metres, the trees do scatter. Straight in the eyes of darkness, there is a glistening shimmer of light, it’s a fire; it may as well be a hallucination; it’s abstract; it seems as if darkness is mocking at you for being a teeny-tiny creature in its vast expanse of terror. The road is surely short but certainly terrifying. To the right, it is spring. […]
