My name is Mr. A. I love studying, especially reading. It helps me to procure knowledge about different disciplines. I am well acquainted with numerous facts & figures, statistics, current affairs etc. In fact, I am confident enough to say that you name any topic and I would know about it. This knowledge I have gathered is in itself a world bubbling inside me. This journey of learning has been so deep, or I should say the learning in this journey has been so deep, that I now find myself completely immersed in it, at such great depths that I can now hardly figure whether the sun is shining in the sky or the moon.
You would have noticed the word ‘bubbling’ in the paragraph above. I didn’t use it in the flow of sharing my experience with you, I literally meant it. This sea of information which I carry along with me everywhere, boils to give out bubbles, sometimes of contentment, sometimes of distress, sometimes of rage, and at times of disillusion. In short, gathering knowledge is a process of intense emotions.
Since I have addressed it as ‘world of knowledge’ , naturally it would have creatures and an environment in it. First, the environment. It is quiet. This quietude keeps shifting between tranquility and deafening silence. The only exception to this disturbing calm in the surroundings is the sounds I make. I would laugh, cry, shout, it would only echo upon me and not be heard by anyone. As for the creatures, this process of collecting knowledge is meditative. I had to be alone in it. My sole companions were only the sources of knowledge I had access to.
You would be thinking that this preparation is difficult, it is terrorizing. Yes, indeed it is. The vast expanse of knowledge that lay before you, waiting to be consumed is intimidating. Once you begin on this journey, it isn’t smooth, full of ups and downs, there is only one factor which drives you to move forward: the thrill of stepping into the world of knowledge, of reaching your desired destination. And believe me, this world is very rich. It has the wealth of knowledge, which cut across all superficial barriers. It is the foundation stone of the utopian society you would have dreamt of.
